Lime Sulphur is both a fungicide and an insecticide which is generally used on fruit trees and roses along with other ornamentals and berries.
It is more effective on apples than copper sprays as it prevents powdery mildew as well as black spot.
It forms a protective film of sulphur which prevents entry of fungus into plants & trees.
Apply when foliage is absent e.g. during winter.
