Blechnum nudum is a relatively small fern that grows well in all states except WA.
The fronds are mid green and fresh looking and arch and down from a central rosette.
It grows well in moist areas and prefers moist, rich soil with lots of organic matter. It doesn't grow well in WA probably due to the long hot dry summers.
They are frost tolerant and will tolerant full sun but need some shade to protect them from the hot summer sun.
In the right conditions they can be fast growing and can spread rapidly. They can be grow under trees or in damper areas to give the garden woodland or tropical feel depending on where you live. They will grow in pots but it is important to use a potting mix with good water holding capacity and to water them regularly.
