Jasminum sambac or Arabian Jasmine is a weak stemmed, evergreen climber with fragrant, white flowers and pink buds in spring and summer.
The leaves are a rich deep green.
This is a good alternative to some of the other jasmines because of its slower and less vigorous growth, while it still maintains its beautiful scent.
On a warm, balmy evening it invades the olefactory organ (otherwise known as the nose) creating a sense of peace and well being.
Cultivars include:
"Duke of Tuscany" -has double flowers and is generally less vigorous.
