A rounded, spreading evergreen shrub with large leaves made up of around a dozen glossy leaflets arranged in a cartwheel formation.
The foliage in an umbrella formation on unbranching stems. In summer it bears panicles of red flowers that are followed by orange coloured fruits that turn black as they age.
In warmer climates it grows well in a shady spot in the garden.
Schefflera arboricola is a a popular indoor plant in cooler climates, they tend not to flower when grown inside.
N.B. Don't plant near pipes as the roots can be invasive.
