Campsis radicans is a hardy and vigorous and woody climber that can grow up to 10m in height if it has enough support.
The foliage is made up of leaves that are opposite, ovate, pinnate and around 8 cms long. They are emerald green when young and mature to a more dark green colour.
The flowers are up to 8cms long, bright orange to red, trumpet-shaped, with a yellow throat and are borne in clusters from summer through to autumn.
This flambouyant and vigorous climber is best grown up against a wall it will enjoy the warmth radiating back and also the shelter from the winds that are common in more open positions.
This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds.
