Lilium longiflorum or the November Lily is a warmer climate, bulbous, perennial plant that produces the most wonderful fragrant, waxy white trumpet shaped flowers in early summer.
Each stem carries up to 10 fragrant flower heads that are tinged green at the base and have golden yellow anthers.
They are best when planted in groups of a minimum of four to five plants, for best effect.
More delicate and reserved than some of the outrageously spectacular Oriental and Asiatic Lilies, this goes well in the border and, as with most Lilies, as cut flowers.
Lilium longiflorum are very good performers in pots and planters, where you can enjoy their extreme beauty at close-hand.
