The Order Process

 
At GardensOnLine we use the concept of a shopping barrow for you to carry your purchases until you are ready to pay for them. The barrow is shown at the top of every page, and indicates if it is empty or has products in it.

Buying goods
  1. Find something to buy;
  2. Select the item and add to your shopping barrow;
  3. When you wish to review or alter your purchase, press the shopping barrow icon to show the Shopping Barrow page. You can change the quantity of products, or delete any item in the barrow;
  4. When you wish to complete and pay for your purchase, press the shopping barrow icon to show the Shopping Barrow page;
  5. We cannot accept orders below our minimum order cost;
  6. To allow us to calculate any delivery fees, please provide a post code for the delivery address;
  7. Press Recalculate to display the final cost of the order. If the order can be fulfilled, the Check Out button will appear;
  8. Press Check Out to display the Check Out page, in which you be asked for your billing details, the delivery address, your special instructions for delivering the goods, and your payment options. When you have supplied all required information, the Accept My Order button will appear;
  9. Press the Accept My Order button and your order will be stored and readied for processing;
  10. Our order Thank You page confirms the acceptance of your order and provides all of the details you have supplied. It also contains the date and your unique order number. We suggest you print the Order Thank You page for your records;
  11. If you payment method required delayed approval, then your order will be held until we can gain approval from your credit authority;
  12. If there has been a problem in the payment approval or in our fulfilling the order, we shall contact you;
  13. Once your payment has been approved, your order shall be packed into the appropriate consignments and shipped to your delivery address. Your order will be processed within 24 hours Monday to Friday.
  14. Your purchase arrives with our guarantee of high quality.
Unfulfilled orders

If there is a delay on a particular product in your order, we shall contact you immediately to ask you for an option to proceed:

  1. to hold order until all items are ready;
  2. to send items that are ready immediately and send the delayed items when ready  - there will be an extra delivery charge;
  3. to send all items that are ready and request credit on items that are currently unavailable. The value would be credited to your card immediately you make that decision.

You may pay for your purchases with the options:

  3. Credit Card and faxed authority
  4. Cheque
Credit card over the net

This is the quickest way for your payment to be accepted, as authorisation is immediate. You may safely enter your credit card details via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.

GardensOnLine prefers Visa, but we also accept MasterCard and Bankcard.

Credit card phoned to our service centre

We provide this option to allow people to create an order and not enter in credit card details for transmission over the Internet. You order will be held until you call our service centre with you credit card details.

Credit card and faxed authority

We provide this option to allow people to create an order and not enter in credit card details for transmission over the Internet. You order will be held until you fax our service centre with you credit card details. There is space on your printed order form for your credit card details.

Personal cheque

When you pay by cheque we will have to bank the cheque and receive clearance before we process the order. This means that your order will be held until we receive your cheque and can clear it with your bank.

Delivery procedures
 
Consignments

We have designed our ordering and delivery system to ship your goods to you in the fastest, most economical means.

Each consignment shall be shown on the Shopping Barrow and order Thank You pages with its delivery cost and expected delivery time table.

If there are any variations to our order commitment, we shall contact you to arrange a suitable alternative.

Plant Delivery

Not all plants in our database will be available throughout the year. We aim to have plants available at the best time for planting. Only plants that are available for purchase will have a price and pot size. If your selection has become unavailable during the order process, we will contact you to arrange for new availability dates and offer you alternatives to the plant ordered.
 

Returning Goods

 
When you shop with GardensOnLine you enjoy the benefits of our commitment to offer only the best products for sale and to provide 100% shopper satisfaction. Any plants or products purchased that do not meet your satisfaction due to their not meeting the specifications described on this Web site (or were lost or damaged in shipping) will either be:

  • replaced with the same product;
  • exchanged with another product of equivalent value;
  • refunded to the purchase price of the product;

You may choose which option best suits your needs.

How to return goods

Please follow these steps:

  1. upon delivery examine the goods immediately for any breakages or defects;
  2. contact GardensOnLine on (02) 9438 3548 before 10:00 a.m. on the day after delivery to alert us of the problem;
  3. when you call we will discuss the problem and help you decide which of the returns options best suits you;
  4. write the reason for return on the delivery packing slip, which will provide us with the order number to aid in the processing of the return;
When we cannot accept returned goods

There are circumstances where GardensOnLine cannot accept returned goods:

  • you have decided you don't want the product;
  • once the product has been used;
  • GardensOnLine cannot be held responsible for entry of incorrect or unclear delivery address information and the customer will be liable for subsequent re-delivery costs.

Non-live Products

All products that we sell are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Once the goods have been supplied in a satisfactory condition, the manufacturer's warranties and guarantees apply. Any problems with the product should then be taken up with the manufacturer.

Live Plant Materials

We as suppliers and you as gardeners share a responsibility to provide living plant materials with the best growing conditions possible. It is our task to ship you strong, healthy live plant materials, which arrive in good condition. It is your job to select plants appropriate for your growing conditions and care for them appropriately.

We can not take responsibility for the product after it has been delivered, for incorrect planting and on-going care of the plant or for weather conditions. For this reason we cannot accept returns of plants that are not declared before 10:00 a.m. on the day after delivery.
