Abies nordmanniana or the Caucasian Fir is a densely branched conifer with regularly arranged branches and a cylindrical habit.
Cones are 15 cm long and 5 cm wide.It is very popular as a Christmas tree, due to it''s excellent glossy deep green needle foliage and symetrical shape.
The needles, which point forward and grow round the branches are soft and thick with white lines on the underside.
The bark is smooth and grey.
