Acacia coriacea is an attractive and shapely tree that has a bushy crown with graceful, pendulous branches and foliage.
The mid greeny grey foliage (or phyllodes in this case) are thin and flat, around 20 cms long cm long and around 2-3 mm wide, while the bark is grey, fibrous and vertically fissured.
The inflorescences are quite simple pale yellow globular puffballs often appearing in pairs.
The seed pods are leathery or even woody, twisted in shape or coiled.
These are attractive trees being relatively compact while offering very attractive, thick and pendulous year round foliage with a bonus of typical Wattle Blossoms over winter and early spring.
