Hi, my very young avocado tree’s leaves have turned brown and feel really dry and crispy. The soil is moist so it’s definitely getting water. The rest of the plant is green.
Avocado trees need well drained soil and need the water to drain away quickly. They are susceptible to a fungus called Phytophthora which thrives in poorly drained soil. Leaves becoming dry and crispy is often a sign of too much water cause by overwatering/ poor drainage. I would be allowing the soil to dry between waterings.
