Aechmea Blue Rain is a gorgeous bromeliad which is as spectacular as it is easy to look after.
Aechmea Blue Rain has broad strap-like glossy green leaves and a breathtaking red, pink, white and purple inflorescence up to 40cm in length. At the top are blue and white flowers that contrast against the red stems.
The flower spikes will last for many months and although the mother plant only blooms once, it will continue to produce young offshoots.
It likes to be warm and a humid atmosphere to thrive, don't let it get below 15c.
In their native habitat the striking flowers attract hummingbirds as pollinators.
Definitely a plant to make a statement with.
