Acalypha wilkesiana or the Fijian Fire Plant is a frost tender, colourful and bushy shrub with erect stems branching from the base with bronze, oval foliage is splashed with pink, red or crimson and has serrated edges.
It produces catkin like woolly tail flowers in summer and autumn.
Largely grown for its foliage it makes a good shrubbery plant or a lawn feature.
The best colours are produced in full sun.
