Correa reflexa is an evergreen shrub, closely related to the Boronia.
It has dark green, rough leaves with hairy undersides and long, green and red, tubular, bell-shaped flowers that look a little like Fuchsias.
They attract nectar feeding birds but can be short lived - e.g. 3 - 5 years.
Various new hybrids have been released onto the market with some attractive colour variations - look out for the whimsically named Correa reflexa 'Fat Bastard'.
