Hakea salicifolia is robust native with gnarled, deep brown stems and thick, elongated, oval leaves.
It bears small, fluffy, creamy white flowers which mature into extremely knobbly nuts.
Responds well to pruning to keep it tidy.
It makes a good windbreak or screen, especially in coastal garden settings.
