Lomandra longifolia is a clump forming rhizomatous perennial that is grasslike in appearance.
It creates tussocks of bluey green straplike foliage and produces panicles of creamy yellow fragrant flowers that are reminiscent of honey.
It goes well in broad borders as a contrast plant and is often seen in large plantings in parks and roadway embankments.
Essentially this is a very easy to keep plant that can go just about anywhere providing it gets enough light.
