Dampiera diversifolia is a prostrate perennial used successfully as ground cover.
The leaves are mid green lanceolate and leathery.
In spring and summer the plant is transformed into a carpet of blue. It is covered with masses of deep blue, cup shaped flowers with a yellow throat.
It spreads by suckering so take care it does not become invasive.
Grows well in pots and tubs as well as draping itself well over rockeries.
Only marginally frost hardy.
