Dendrobium kingianum - which is now known as Thelychiton kingianus or the Pink Rock Orchid is a very dainty, clump forming epiphytic orchid.
It has long, lance shaped but thin deep green glossy leaves that emerge on stalks from pseudobulbs.
The short drooping stems carry racemes of up to 20 flowers, the colours vary from white, rose, pink, mauve, purple or red. Most often they are white with mauve to pink splashes.
For thos who live in cool climates they'll need to be kept indoors or in a shade/glasshouse, but for most Australians these will live happily outdoors in a bright but shady spot.
