Lepidozamia peroffskyana the Pineapple Zamia extremely beautiful small palm like tree that has glossy dark green fine fronds around 1.5-2.0 metres long.
It has a woody trunk and grows very slowly initially.
They are either male - with green cones or female with orange cones.
In the wild they can grow to 8m but in gardens they are usually seen at around 3m.
Preferring a warmer climate, they can however take a very light frost now and again.
