Eucalyptus haemastoma is the most ornamental of all the Eucalyptus, as it branches out into multiple, twisted trunks which are silvery white and decorated with a fine wiggly patterns made by the burrowing larvae of tiny moths.
It has nectar-rich, white blossoms which can appear from spring through to autumn.
Needs full sun and will tolerate the strong western sun. It is front line salt tolerant, coping with salty winds and saline soils. In more windy positions it tends to not grow so tall and to be multi trunked. Once established it will take mild frosts and short periods of drought.
This attractive tree is a lovely addition to native gardens, as a shade or feature tree.
