A fast growing, hardy, evergreen, small tree with dappled, smooth bark of yellowish/white and blue/grey.
The tapering leaves are blue/grey/green and it bears clusters of pink or cream flowers throughout winter.
Sometimes seen with red flowers.
Very attractive to birds.
The bark is retained on the lower trunk but the upper trunk and branches are smooth-barked and cream to grey in colour.
It is regularly planted for windbreaks, shade, honey production and for ornamental purposes.
