Syzygium smithii was previously known as Acmena smithii.
It is bushy, evergreen tree with small glossy green leaves and fleshy pink or mauve berries which follow pale cream/white flowers with prominent stamens.
The new leaf growth appears as a copper colour which matures to green.
Sometimes grown as a shrub but if left go can become a handsome tree.
Good for screening.
