Thryptomene saxicola or the Pink Rock Myrtle is a delicate, heath-like, low shrub with small, flat, slightly rounded aromatic leaves and soft pinky/white, star-shaped flowers that appear in in winter and springtime.
Out of flower it is a modest shrub with a graceful and arching habit and pleasantly fragranced foliage, but when in bloom it is almost totally covered in flowers.
Florist love them as they last well, using sprays to provide a strong but delicate background in bouquets.
