Boronia hetrophylla is an erect, compact shrub with simple, dark green leaves with masses of bright pink to rose-red, cup-shaped flowers in spring.
They can also be white on occasions too, especially cultivars like 'Moonglow'.
Both the foliage and the flowers have has a delicate perfume which has contributed to its popularity, especially as a cut flower.
It likes plenty of light but prefers dappled sunlight with protection from scorching afternoon sun.
Useful as a feature or contributor to mixed borders, they also make a lovely low hedge when planted en-masse.
