Hydrangea quercifolia or the Oak-leaved Hydrangea is a large, rounded deciduous shrub with large dark green, deeply lobed leaves on long stalks creating a a loose mound.
Small creamy white fertile flowers and large pinkish sterile flowers form large cone-shaped globular heads.
This is an old fashioned plant that is good for creating a cottage garden look.
In hotter climates keep in total shade or the flowers and leaves will scorch.
