Orthrosanthus multiflorus or Morning Flag is an attractive Australian native perennial that has strap-like leaves and pretty, blue, open-faced flowers with prominent golden stamen.
Like most plants in this family the leaves are strap-like and grow in tufts.
The blue flowers are borne on upright panicles in late spring to summer with the short-lived blooms continuing for several weeks, making a lovely addition to any garden border.
They are rhizomatous so tend to spread, divide in late winter if clump is becoming too dense.
