Perovskia atriplicifolia or russian Sage is a deciduous sub-shrub with a tall, erect habit.
It produces pale green/white foliage, so it has a lovely silvery appearance that compliments the lavender blue flowers which are borne on short panicles.
It can become slightly messy later in the season as the long stems and weight of the flowers can cause the stems to lean under the weight.
A lovely silvery foliage plant that looks good as a contrast plant in cottage gardens or shrubberies.
