Citrus limon Meyer is an attractive small tree it bears very juicy, less sour lemons.
It is an almost thornless variety that produces flowers and fruit most of the time, but fruits best in winter when you need the vitamin C.
Avoid cold wintery conditions but is OK in coastal settings.
The Meyer Lemon is a cross between an orange and a lemon. The fruit is thin skinned and is not nearly as sour or lemonly as other varieties. If you are wanting to cook with lemons then this is probably not your best choice, however the juice is great in fruit juice mixes.
Of all the lemon varieties this is the best choice for pots.
