An annual tendril climber that bears crops of crisp, green, flattened pods that are entirely edible. The flowers are white with purple marks and are followed by the crisp legumes. Snow peas taste great when freshly picked and have a lovely sweet flavour, especially when harvested when still young. Unlike the common Pea, Snow peas prefer a warmer climate.
