Catsfoot (Antennaria dioica) is a low growing plant that is perfect for rockeries, growing well in poor dry soils, providing there is full sun.
It forms a low mat of silvery grey leaves.
Daisy-like flowers in shades of white, pink and red are borne in summer and are held above the mat of foliage atop tall flowers stems.
It spreads by stolons and can be divided into separate plants in spring.
The dwarf varieties can be used between pavers.
