Bauera rubiodes prostrate or The Native Dog Rose is an evergreen prostrate shrub grown for its pretty star shaped, cup-like flowers of pink and white.
Branches are thin and wiry and will scramble amongst other plants if left alone.
the leaves are small and dark green becoming reddish in winter.
"Prostrate" grows in a horizontal manner and goes well tumbling down rockeries or acting as an effective ground cover.
The flowers last well when cut and as they are light in weight will go well in shallow bowls.
