Brunfelsia pauciflora or the Brazil Rain Tree is a dense, evergreen or semi-deciduous shrub with an open habit and small, dull green leaves that have a leathery texture.
It comes into its own in spring when it becomes covered in pansy-like flowers that start mauve/blue and fade to white - often with both colours on the plant at the same time.
A useful shrub that is spectacular in springtime and a good background filler other times as it likes a reasonable amount of shade and can go under trees.
