Callistemon Mauve Mist is a hardy, dense growing, evergreen shrub with a spreading habit and long, narrow, pointed, mid-green leaves.
The leaves are around 50mm long, pointed and covered in silky hairs - they emerge pink but turn green.
The pinky mauve flowers are produced in clusters, are fluffy and shaped like a round brush, though they do fade a bit after a week or so to end up rather pale.
They go well in coastal locations, being salt-wind tolerant and can stand a bit of waterlogging.
Good as a windbreak or when planted en-masse make a good and colourful hedge.
As with many native plants they will attract many birds and bees to your garden.
