Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Alumii' is a majestic, narrow conically shaped conifer with rippling, bluish green foliage.
This tree prefers a cooler, moist climate but does not like coastal exposure, salty or strong winds.
Soil: Humus rich, fertile soil that is well drained - in full sun.
Keep roots cool with plenty of mulch.
Maintenance: Keep well mulched and an annual application of balanced, slow release fertiliser will be beneficial.
N.B. It has a small root system so it can be lifted and moved relatively easily at any age.
Diseases: Can suffer some fungal attacks when planted en-masse.
Other Species: 8 species - of which this one has the most varieties.
Comments: Good for timber.
