An evergreen shrub with fine, brittle, needle foliage and airy sprays of very pretty, purple, star-shaped flowers that appear in late winter and spring.
It has a light and open appearance and is a very attractive shrub, but it can be short lived due to intolerance of humidity or wet roots.
Chamaelaucium unicatum "Purple Pride" has more intense lilac flowers and is slightly smaller growing, otherwise the same as the species.
