Euphorbia trigona is a succulent with a very cactus-like in appearance.
The succulent stems are triangular in section and grow almost completely upright while sprouting quite long prickly spikes from the three edges that look like steer horns. Extremely vicious.
Oval leaves are borne along the stems at the three angles.
These succulents are usually grown indoors or on a warm patio.
They don't like frosts and suit xeriscape or other dry climate style gardens.
Allow plenty of space around them as they are not people friendly.
As with all all Euphorbia the sap they produce can cause skin irritations and burn the eyes, so gloves and eye protection are essential when moving or pruning these.
