Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote' is a compact, dense and bushy low shrub with narrow silvery grey leaves and small mauve flower spikes.
It makes a great little hedge or pathway feature and the flower heads can be picked off and dried for pot pourri or the oils extracted for aromatherapy purposes. This is a delicate variety that looks lovely in the garden and can also be grown in pots.
They look lovely potted with white Alyssum planted around it. It is however fast growing and quite hardy.
