Spiraea japonica 'Goldflame' is a small, mound-shaped, deciduous shrub with clumping branches that bear lance shaped leaves with serrated margins.
The branches are weighed down in spring with very showy, rounded clusters of dense, dark pink flowers.
Plant away from the most burning, later afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves - i.e. a little shade.
The young leaves of "Goldflame" are bronze-red ageing to golden.
