Grevillea laurifolia is an evergreen shrub with broad, heart-shaped and leathery foliage that resembles a laurel (hence its name). It produces wiry, deep red, spider flowers with golden tips in springtime through to early summer.
It is a prostrate form makin g an excellent ground-cover, spreading up to 4.5m in diamter.
This is a relatively rare Grevillea that is confined to the Blue Mountain region of Sydney down to Mittagong and not commonly cultivated, though it has plenty of scope for wider use being relatively easy to grow and maintain.
