Fritillaria acmopetala or Cyprian Missionbells are bulbous perennials that produce narrow, strap-like, grey green leaves.
The terminal, nodding flowers are bell shaped and olive greeny-yellow overall with purple-brown splashes, especially on the insides..
They make an interesting addition to any border and are quite ornamental when planted in rockeries. Especially good in city courtyard gardens in pots, but go equally well in country cottage garden settings too.
Try combining them with maroon coloured Babiana where the colourings will go well together.
