Eranthemum pulchellum or Blue Eranthemum are sprawling, bushy, evergreen, shrubs that will add swathes of gentle colour to your garden borders during winter.
The leaves are a deep green on erect branching stems, while gentian blue, tubulate flowers are produced in clusters during the winter months.
Very popular in the tropics, especially India and China where blue flowers are unusual.
A useful plant for difficult (shady) garden locations that will deliver welcome colour over winter.
In cooler climates they will go well in pots in glasshouses and conservatories.
