Eucalyptus viminalis is a large tree growing up to 40m tall.
Too tall for most gardens is often found in parks and public area as well as bushland in cooler areas of Australia.
As one of the favoured foods of koalas it has been reintroduced into some areas.
It is a very straight tree, the upper branches and trunk tend to be left smooth and white as the bark peels off in ribbons whilst the lower trunk tends to be rough.
The leaves are long, pendulous, grey-green and white staminous flowers in Summer and Autumn.
