Very similar to Banksia serrata but not quite as large, it has wrinkled, cork-like orange bark and elegant, mid green serrated foliage.
It produces with green-yellow inflorescences or flower spikes which appear in autumn, making a striking display as they are held aloft to become very conspicuous.
The flowers will attract a wide array of birds and insects to your garden, especially honeyeater birds.
Banksia serrata is very similar and generally easier to find in nurseries.
