Grevillea speciosa is a small to medium size bushy shrub native to New South Wales.
It has small elliptical leaves along the length of the branches and for most of the year it produces delightful, spider-like clusters of deep pink to rich red flowers at the end of the branches.
The flowers are most prolific in spring but will continue to produce throughout the year.
They are particularly good at attracting smaller nectar feeding birds where the dense foliage provides shelter while their little beaks are perfectly suited to the small flower heads.
Being quite densely bushy they make a good screen or will fill a difficult corner.
