Alyogne wrayae 'Blue Heeler' is a low form of Native Hibiscus. It grows to about 30cm tall and spreads up to a metre, making it perfect for smaller gardens.
It has quite striking hibiscus-like purple to mauve flowers from spring to autumn. The blooms are short lived but the plant will re-bloom regularly in warmer climates.
For those looking for a hardy small shrub this is a good option, it is frost tolerant and grows well in coastal areas as well as being drought tolerant.
