Allium neopolitanum or Naples Garlic is a small bulb with bright green strap-like foliage and pretty white, six petalled, open faced flowers in spring.
Harvest in summer after flowers have finished and use in salads or in cooking as per other types of garlic - though this one is sweeter and more mild.
The leaves can also be chopped and added to salads and the bulbs, once harvested will keep in a cool and dry environment for six months at least.
Try plaiting the dry foliage to make a strand to hang in the kitchen then you can break a bulb off as required.
