Eucalytpus roycei is a a small shrub-like mallee with an open habit.
The dull grey green adult leaves vary in shape from broad lanceolate and falcate (sickle shaped) to ovate. During summer it produces masses of yellow flowers.
The gum-nuts are unusual as they tend to be square but can be ovoid.
The bark is rough and and peels off in strips.
This is not a particularly attractive tree and probably better for bush and parks.
