Euphorbia hypericifolia is a low growing clumping shrub with mid green, oval leaves and masses of white flowers.
At first inspection it is hard to believe that this is a euphorbia, however close inspection shows the pairs of white petals to be bracts and the flowers to be very small, inconsequential and Euphorbia-like.
It prefers partial shade and is an pretty low maintenance option as ground cover and in garden beds.
It can also be used in pots, patios and hanging baskets.
Heat and drought tolerant, it blooms all year in warm climates with no dead heading required.
There are many cultivars available often featuring the words 'Diamond' or 'Star'
