Acacia dangarensis is a small tree that grows up to 10 metres.
The foliage is soft and fern-like. The leaf-like phyllodes have a frond-like appearance. Each phyllode has 4-6 'pinna' and each of these has 14-30 pairs of needle-like lobes.
In spring the tree is covered with golden yellow flowers. Panicles of 12-26 fluffy ball flowers are produces at the phyllode axil towards the end of the branches. When in full flower it is a spectacular sight.
