Cornus kousa Snowboy is a compact, variegated Dogwood, with bright green with creamy white fringed foliage. In autumn they turn to pink and red before falling.
Like other dogwoods it produces white flowers in early summer, though these are bracts, with the rather small white flowers in the centre cluster being relatively insignificant.
This Dogwood is grown as much for its foliage and horizontal branching habit as the floral display, looking good all summer long then turning to arresting colourful displays over autumn.
This is a delicate small tree and needs protection from scorching sun and harsh winds but can tolerate some urban pollution.
