Breynia disticha or the Snow Bush is grown for its attractive foliage. The new leaves are mostly white and appear to be covered with snow hence the common name 'Snowbush'.
The slender branches carry rounded to oval leaves that are splashed with a creamy white for eye-catching effect.
There is another popular cultivar named Breynia nivosa 'Roseo-picta' or the 'Confetti Bush' which has a pink blush to the leaves as well.
These are typically tropical garden plants though they do survive happily in most frost-free areas of Australia and also go very well in larger pots indoors.
It does produce small flowers but they are rather insignificant being small and green and they also hide under the foliage.
